Be careful Permanently Deleting Your Facebook Account Or You Just Might Fade Away And Classify Yourself As Obsolete…

October 27, 2020 ·

I know there are many out there that do not want to have a Facebook account. But for those getting the Oculus Quest 2 and this being your first Oculus headset, you will need to make a Facebook account. But for those that have had a previous Oculus device such as the Oculus Rift, Oculus Rift S, and/or Oculus Quest 1, you can still use your Oculus account for now and not have to merge them, but that will only last until after January 1, 2023. But if you do use a Facebook account and then deactivate or permanently delete your account, the games that you bought could be gone.

But remember, if you have an Android phone, you have a Google Account. If you have an Apple phone, you have an Apple account. But maybe, just letting us keep our Oculus accounts for the foreseeable future where game purchases are tied to and not risk losing them might be something to consider. Remember, if there is a will there is a way.
