KIWI design G4 Pro Performance Controller Grips – The Review

October 11, 2024 ·

The Quest 3 and soon-to-be 3S Touch Plus controllers are pretty sweet and allow you to do amazing things within Virtual Reality. Out-of-the-box, they feel great in the hands even though not everyone may use the wrist straps that come with them when they should. Sure, most of us have a pretty good grip on the controllers, but what if you could have a better experience with them while also making sure they don’t accidentally fly out of your hands simultaneously? Not only does KIWI design have what you’re looking for, but they’ve also enhanced it. In April, KIWI design released the Grips Cover with Battery Opening for the Quest 3, instantly assuring me that my controllers would not slip out during any VR activity. Let’s find out more about the KIWI design G4 Pro Performance Controller Grips for the Quest 3 & 3S.

As always, KIWI design delivers simplicity, extending to their packaging as well.

Opening the box, you are presented with the G4 Pro Performance Controller Grips, the covers, extra battery pull tabs, and the instruction booklet.

To ensure that everything runs smoothly, remove the controller’s cover and replace it with the battery cover. It does add a nice, appealing color scheme to the mix. Thanks to the secure battery pull tabs, you will have a nice door to easily replace the batteries. The battery pull tab goes under the battery for an easy battery release that doesn’t take much effort.

Next, insert the Touch Plus controller inside the G4 Pro Performance Controller Grips and you will be good to go. Now, earlier I mentioned how Grip Covers came out in April of this year, and now we are talking about the G4 Pro Performance Controller Grips. When you look at them side by side, you will notice some similarities as well as some differences. The body to the top has the familiar look, & feel, and both have the battery doors. In the pic below, the Grip Cover is on the left and the new G4 Pros are on the right. First, look at the elastic sides. On the left, the sides feel more slippery compared to the G4 Pros on the right. It does feel more comfortable as well. The other difference is the height. With the now 1cm longer length of the right compared to the left, it does feel better in the hands.

KIWI design has done an amazing job. They made simple but important changes. These changes ensure that the G4 Pros feel secure in your hands. Plus, you can have peace of mind knowing your controllers won’t fly out of your hands and will be safe.

The KIWI design G4 Pro Performance Controller Grips are out now for the Meta Quest 3 and soon-to-be-released Meta Quest 3S, and you can order yours now by visiting the KIWI design site.

Also, make sure you like them on Facebook, follow them on Twitter, follow them on Instagram, and subscribe to their YouTube channel.

Until next time, please enjoy.
