Ever since we first heard about the team-based and online multiplayer world that is Firewall Zero Hour, players have been doing what they can to earn those contracts all while making sure the other members of the team did not interfere by any means necessary, with the plan. But that wasn’t all that First Contact Entertainment had in mind. They added the DLCs including, Operation Black Dawn that gave us new contractors, maps, weapons, and rewards. But even then, the progression never stopped as the PS5 came around, and the updates for the PS5 came as well.
And just when some were wondering what could be next and along with myself and others were wondering ever since the news of PlayStation VR2, would First Contact Entertainment bring excitement, energy, and force to the next generation? Well, it looks like we don’t have to wonder anymore as the next installment in the Firewall Zero Hour franchise will be coming to PlayStation VR2 and will be known as Firewall Ultra. Let’s look at the details of what will be experienced…
- Set 5 years after Firewall Zero Hour
- New locations and contractors
- A deeper level of customization for weaponry and equipment
- Dedicated servers
- Rounds will not be the best out of the three
- Entirely new PvE experience
- Future content planned such as new contractors, maps, and weapons
But you might be asking, what about the PlayStation VR2s features and how will that help the experience? Check it out:
- 110° FOV
- 4K HDR
- Adaptive triggers
- Eye tracking
- Fast loading times
- Finger touch detection
- Foveated rendering
- Haptic feedback
But even with this news, it made me start to think about something. With Firewall Zero Hour, there was the adaption of the Aim Controller. But with the PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers and how they will have actual thumb sticks along with other features, could Sony be also developing the Aim Controller 2? It could be as simple as just a way of holding the Sense controllers in a way where it feels natural or, maybe, it could possibly be something more. At this point, we don’t really know if the idea has even been thought about or even mention. But with the power of the PlayStation VR2 and when using it with the PS5, only fantastic things will happen. Things are getting very exciting and 2023 is going to be a glorious year. Will your skills be enough? Are you ready to be immersed in the action? Will you be ready? Find out when Firewall Ultra comes to the PlayStation Store.
Until then…please enjoy…
