Yes, this has been a feature for a while. The ability to stream your favorite PCVR games to your Oculus Quest and Oculus Ques 2 headsets, but took some work even though the ability was so easy, the access was a little tricky. With the Virtual Desktop app, you can virtually stream your desktop and the ability to play your favorite VR content from your PC. But in order to do that, you had to sideload and some were not a fan of the extra work. With the recent App Lab being introduced, Oculus has lifted the roadblock and now allows you to do so freely. But in order to be able to use Virtual Desktop with your Oculus Quest headset, you will need to do a few things.
- Download Virtual Desktop .
- Install and input your Oculus name.
- Hit Save.
- Just make sure you have Virtual Desktop running on your PC and enjoy.
It’s a great benefit of having a wireless VR headset like the Oculus Quest and Quest 2. But of course, remember, if you don’t want to stream your favorite PCVR games and experiences and would rather have that more PCVR feel like the Oculus Rift, Rift S, or any other PCVR headset, you could always use the cable like the official Oculus Link cable.
Until then…please enjoy…
