If You Really Want An Oculus Quest 2 That Doesn’t Need Facebook, Get Ready To Pay For It…

April 29, 2021 ·

Ever since the Oculus Quest 2 was announced and released, it has continuously received update after update with each new update becoming more exciting than the last. There is still many who would love to have one, but may not necessarily want to have a Facebook account and each person’s decision should be respected. But what if you really really want one and not have a Facebook account? Well, Oculus will sell you one, but at a steep cost. Already, the Oculus Quest 2 costs $299 for the 64 gig version and $399 for the 256 gig version. Which when you think about it, is not bad for what you get with the Oculus Quest 2. But if you want that non Facebook version, be prepared to spend $799 and after a year, pay the annual fee of $180.00 that will cover Oculus’ support and services.

But think about it. $800+ (when you add taxes) plus $180.00 a year. The annual fee alone is almost half of the 256 gig version alone, but again it really is based on how strongly you feel about Facebook. Right now, there is not anything that really competes with the Oculus Quest 2. Well, with the teasing HTC is doing with Vivecon and what they could introduce, don’t be surprised if some competition is not right around the corner. This is truly and interesting time for VR enthusiasts and gamers alike.
