Panasonic Looking To Enter The VR HDR Game…

January 11, 2020 ·

Virtual Reality has come along way. We have PlayStation VR, Oculus with the Rift/S and Quest, HTC with the Vive, Vive Pro, Cosmos…etc…But what does one do when they want to enter the Virtual Reality market and hopefully try and make an impact? You come with a new design and prays that it takes off. Enter the CES 2020 with the Panasonic VR glasses that seem to be a little steampunk without the actual headset in favor of more of the glasses approach.

What sticks out is of course the glasses look that has built in headphones, but something else which could be a welcome for many glasses wearing consumers is the swappable prescription lenses and when you add HDR, the visuals for many could be mouth watering. But I have some questions such as the weight of the glasses vs an actual headset that helps balance out the weight as well as the actual specs we are talking about as well as the specs needed to run VR on these. But we will have to wait and see more when the commercial version that is expected to come out in 2021 releases along with the price point.
