Possible Cableless PlayStation VR Patent Emerges…

October 16, 2019 ·

With the success of PlayStation VR, it should be no surprise on Sony looking at how they can already improve the experience. We have seen patents of possibly new controllers as well as possibly for the headset itself. It seems a new patent has been filed that would possibly not use controllers, but by devices that could be worn on the wrist and transmit infrared light, which the headset would be able to pick up. This would make for some interesting immersion as it would be able to track your fingers.

But this could get really interesting as could his mean a way of moving around without cables to possibly being able to stream to the PS5 kind of like how remote play works but much more powerful. Of course, we can all speculate as we do not yet know all the specs of the PS5 yet, but all these patents have me really excited about what is to come in Virtual Reality and PlayStation VR and you should be excited as well.
