So Were The New HTC Accessories Just The Appetizer Before The Main Course?

April 10, 2021 ·

Last month HTC announced new tracking accessories with the HTC Vive Facial Tracker and Vive Tracker that allowed more detailed movement and when you think about the technology, it really is pretty impressive what is going on in VR. To be able to have our own unique facial expressions and moves to be brought in and shown virtually really shows how far we have fome. But if we thought HTC was done, we were wrong. It seems that HTC is teasing a new headset in a Tweet…

So by the looks of the pic, the headset has cameras in the front that will be black and looks to have inside-out tracking. Is HTC going a different route altogether than what they have done in the past…with no wires? But look at what they wrote: “Now that the accessories are out of the way, let’s get down to business.” Interesting. They already revealed the accessories and now a new headset. Things are getting interesting and I for one cannot wait to see how this all plays out and what the specs. Time will tell what will be coming so stay tuned.
