The year is 1978 and the place, New York City. Being a teenager can be rough and when you have a rough life, the world may throw it all at you, but how you handle things is just might how you are able to find yourself. Introducing Lupe (voiced by Rosario Dawson), a Puerto Rican American, and only 16 years old has found herself in some trouble. But maybe that trouble was meant to be to get to the point where she meets her cellmate, Debbie. This is where Debbie is going to introduce Lupe to the Lower East Side and just maybe Lupe will be able to find herself and change the way people, including herself, may view things from a different perspective.
