Could The Oculus Quest Pro Be Announced At This Year’s Facebook Connect?

September 14, 2021 ·

We already know that Facebook Connect is coming on October 28, 2021. Last year it was announced that Oculus Quest 2 would be launching along with some new games that were coming that we are still enjoying to this day. But it looks like some hardware news could be and hopefully will be announced at this year’s Facebook Connect. But it seems that due to an Oculus Quest v32 firmware file, not only will there is the mention of a Quest Pro along with eye and face tracking. According to the leaks, the Quest Pro will check your hand size and see how they move. Meaning, that you would use your hands instead of controllers in VR. We have already been introduced to hand tracking with the Quest platform, so taking it to the next step could be very interesting. But it seems that many want the face and eye-tracking and even earlier this year, that Mark Zuckerberg stated that it was the most wanted feature for its Oculus headsets and that could be coming sooner than we may have thought. Maybe it will be for the Quest Pro or maybe it’s in the works for the headsets we already have.

All I know is, let’s keep advancing VR to see where the experience can take us and we shall find out more on October 28, 2021..
