New Features Are Coming To The Oculus Quest Platform Very Soon…

January 16, 2021 ·

The Oculus Quest 2 is a fantastic headset. With its wireless freedom, but yet, can also play PCVR games things to Oculus Link among otherways. But there has been something that many users have been hoping for and begging for and it looks like prayers are about to be answered. One of the things that some users didn’t like is the fact that only one Facebook account (is required), but it’s one account to one device. There is no current way to use multiple accounts with one device until the new update appears. The new update will add and allow Multi-User accounts. Not one or two, but up to three secondary accounts. But, there is more. Another feature that has been wanted for a while is App Sharing between those accounts.

The first users to be able to try this experimental feature is Oculus Quest 2 users to make sure everything is good and then, original Oculus Quest users will get to join in the fun. With the pandemic still going on, this is some great news as those households that really have only one Oculus Quest device, will be able to share the apps with the secondary accounts (that must be logged in with a Facebook account), but those secondary accounts will also be able to purchase their own apps, but without being able to share the apps. So if your goal is to be able to share on the same device, the main account would need to be the one where any apps or content is purchased under. These new features should be available to use starting next month.
