Virtuoso Brings Some New Features With The First Content Update…

April 13, 2022 ·

Back in February, we heard about Virtuoso and how we could mix, create, and set the music free. From using the drum pads to sharing the songs with the community to even being able to sing, beat-box, or rap to your own music so you really can use your made-for-VR instruments and create your own music. Now, just shortly after a month after release, the first that I am sure will be many updates has just been released.

Check out what’s new…

  • Instrument frames for wHarp, Clustr, Wavemin and the Oorgan! Most instruments now have a cool visual frame that reacts when you play. For purists, it can be toggled off.
  • Fixed issues with drums being triggered when they shouldn’t.
  • Reverb and compression drums effects! Empads now have settings for Reverb and Compression, allowing you to lay down some really epic beats.
  • Ability to position spectator camera (PC only). Shroom Cam! Lord Capington III, “Cap” for short, is working the spectator camera.
  • Microphone can now be toggled to always be on, allowing you to record meatspace things that require both hands.
  • Microphone reverb monitoring can now also be turned off, for those who get distracted by hearing their own echo.
  • UI elements and instruments can now be locked in place at the click of a button, so you don’t accidentally move them around.
  • You can now enable “link hands” on the arpeggiator to make both hands add notes to the same arpeggio.
  • Faster previews in song library, so you don’t have to wait while browsing for your new favorite song.
  • … plus a bunch of smaller improvements and bug fixes, and likely some brand new bugs!

So what are you waiting for? Are you ready to mix things up? Are you ready to let your inner artist shine?Virtuoso and the new content update are out now for the Oculus Rift/S and Quest/Quest 2 on the Oculus Store and Steam VR.

Until then…please enjoy…
