We all have our favorite Quest headset. From Quest 2 to the Quest Pro to the new Quest 3, we enjoy what each brings to the Virtual Reality space, but there is one thing that we all have in common how do we charge it and where are we going to put our headset when it is not in use. Sure, you could use the cable and charger your headset came with and place the headset down and not think anymore about it. But what if you could display your Quest headset while it charges while adding that RGB to your room at the same time?
Let’s take a closer look at the KIWI design RGB Vertical Stand for Meta Quest2, Quest 3, and Quest Pro.
One of the first things you will see on the front of itself is just how simple and pleasing the item is. You will also notice the Made for Meta at the top right. Opening the box, we have the easy assembly instructions that are printed on the inside with a simple message that KIWI design stands by, Make Things Better, and I couldn’t agree more.
Diving in further, we have all the pieces to the stand, the USB C charging dongle, and the booklet. I will say that the RGB Vertical Stand base has a decent weight to it where it is going to hold up and you won’t have to worry about the stand coming apart, which is a very good thing.
One thing you will notice that is missing from the KIWI design RGB Vertical Stand is a USB C cable and charger. Remember, your headset comes with the cable and charger, so you will just need to use that. For me, I am using the official cable and charger that came with the Meta Quest 3 which will plug into the top part of the stand. You will also notice two buttons. The power button is on the right and the color selection on the left.
Of course, as the instructions say, make sure you test to make sure it’s working. And with 16 optional RGB lights, there is a color pretty much for any atmosphere or anyone.
Putting everything together, you have a nice and sleek stand. Keeping the controller arms towards the inside would be for using the Meta Quest 2 while keeping them outwards would be for the Meta Quest 3 & Meta Quest Pro.
One of the interesting things that this stand offers is the USB C adapter.
The adapter fits nicely and tight to the Meta Quest 3’s USB C port.
But probably the most interesting aspect is the strong magnetic hold that the adapter and the charging cable have. I only have to put the Meta Quest 3 on the stand one time to have it connect and charge. And speaking of charge, it took around 2 – 2 1/2 hours to charge fully.
Overall, the KIWI design RGB Vertical Stand for the Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, and Meta Quest Pro is a stand that does what is meant to do. Take what we think VR stand should be and make it better.
