Now before you wondering what is going on, I am not talking about the movies or comics or any Disney Plus shows that may come on, but of one of Oculus games called MARVEL Powers United VR. A game where you get to become different Avengers from Captain America to Black Panther in either multiplayer or solo. Now, it may be true that when the game came out it may have not received the highest of feedback from everyone, there are still players out there that still love to play it and still should get to own what they purchased if nothing but the solo aspect of it all. But the fact that those that either paid the higher cost of $59.99 or if you bought the MARVEL Powers United VR Special Rift edition, you should still be able to play it. But just recently, this game is no longer available on the Oculus Store with the option to purchase. As of March 1, 2021, the game will no longer be available to be accessed even for those that purchased the game before Facebook bought Oculus. I know licenses can run out. There may be the powers that be, but spending money should on a game not be the end of it all. Not being able to purchase for new players ok, but for those that did purchase and then just take that away and only offer refunds for those that purchased up to 6 months ago is not right.
Hopefully, Facebook, Oculus, and Sanzaru Games understands this and corrects the issue to make it right for all. If enough voices are heard (ticket request on Oculus, letting Facebook and Oculus aware) maybe something good can come out of it all.
In case you missed the trailer or new to VR and wasn’t even aware of this title, please enjoy. Just remember if you have the game, maybe we can all unite for some last few games before March 1, 2021.
