Back in 2018 and 2019, Cave Digger was released on PCVR and then followed by PSVR and the Oculus Quest. But now it seems that we are about to have to dig a little harder. In an announcement made by Finnish developer VRWiki, it was stated that they are working on Cave Digger 2. And even though it may be in the early stages, the plan is to release it in either the second or third quarter of 2021.
In a statement from producer Jani Kaipainen, it was said:
“Cave Digger 2 is going to be better in every aspect, we are adding many big features, we have many new resources and the community has provided us with great feedback,”.
It’s going to be a different experience in many ways than the first Cave Digger but we want to keep the original Cave Digger feel, which is unique. We are going to deliver you Cave Digger 2 Early access later in 2021. Are you looking forward to mining, treasures, and dangers with your friends in VR? We are for sure.”
It will be interesting to see new the new frontiers that will be for digging and before we know it, Cave Digger 2: Dig Harder will be here before we know it.
