Resident Evil 4 is not only a fan favorite, but some may claim that it’s one of the best in the series. Back in April of 2021, the news that the game would be receiving the VR treatment for the Quest 2 was nothing short of hopeful and welcoming for many, myself included. Then in time for Halloween of that same year, we finally got a chance to play it and a lot of players were pleased with how everything turned out. But there was something that was missing from this version was The Mercenaries unlockable minigame that many players have come to love and we received some news back in November of 2021 that this mode was indeed coming.
If you have never played The Mercenaries, you will take on waves of Ganados across different levels as you score points, trying to survive, and hopefully can get rescued. But with this version, there are online leaderboards along with challenges such as scenarios and restricted conditions so not only can see the chaos happening, but be immersed in it. But, going into this mode will not be left unrewarded as you can unlock things such as Big Head Mode, Fast Forward Mode, new Golden Gun skins, and what I am looking most forward to is the black-and-white Classic Horror Mode. And since all these can be used in the main game, that Classic Horror Mode is just going to add to the fun. Plus, you get to play as some of the most iconic Resident Evil characters.
