Oculus Might Be Bringing A New Storage Option To The Oculus Quest 2…

July 22, 2021 ·

When Oculus 2 launched last year, there were two SKU’s, the 64GB and the more generous version of 256GB. There is nothing different about these two variants other than the storage and price. The 64GB costs $299, while the 256GB version costs $399. So if it’s a possibility, spending the extra amount is well worth the purchase. But it looks like Oculus is adding a new SKU to possibly replace the 64GB version with a 128GB version, but the good news is it should have the same price as the 64GB at $299.00. But what do you do if you were one of the first buyers of the 64GB version? Do you give it as an upcoming Birthday or Christmas present? Do you try and sell it and then purchase either the 128GB or get the 256GB version? As of right now, the 64GB version is out of stock on Oculus, but the 256GB is available. I for one hope that the Oculus Quest 3 adds a Micro SD slot for that expandable storage.
